I learned to knit when I was very young. My mother taught me very early about keeping consistent tension in my yarn.
My love of sewing and knitting threaded through my college years when I sewed my own clothes – as a mother when I sewed my son’s baby and toddler clothes – as an adult as I continue to sew home decor and quilts.
My love of weaving started from my many trips to Mexico and Guatemala, visiting artists and weavers and seeing first hand the beauty and variety of natural dying and weaving cloth. I spend time each day carding wool, practicing my spinning, dying yarn or weaving.
Creating fiber from start to finish is a gift to all of my senses.
